1. Wii Price: Find the Best Price for Buying a Wii

Wii Price: Find the Best Price for Buying a Wii

    Author: Wendy Hearn

At just under $250, Nintendo's Wii console is by far the best value games console on the market. Not only this, it is also the most innovative gaming machine to hit the shop shelves in years.

The Wii has been on our shop shelves for over a year now. If you are not already familiar with it, it stands out from its competitors in that it allows motion sensitive gameplay with its wireless controller. That is, the controller can be swung like a racquet in a tennis game, used like a sword in a fighting game and so on.

Arguably the second most notable thing about the Wii is the price. It retails at half the price of the bottom end PlayStation 3, and is $150 dollars cheaper than the XBox 360. Both the PS3 and XBox 360 do offer better graphics and larger memories, but neither provides the Wii's unique style of gameplay.

The Wii ships with everything you need to get gaming. You get the console, a controller, the cables for hooking it up your TV, and a sports games package to get you started. However, to really get the most of your Wii you will have to spend a little more.

For example, if you are a HDTV owner you will need the Wii Component Video Cable, which retails for about $30. An extra controller (essential for two-player games) will cost about another $30, while the Wii Nunchuk Controllers sell for around the $20 dollar mark. The Nunchuk Controllers aren't essential but you do need them to get the most out of certain games.

Also, the Wii controllers, being remote, run on AA batteries and drain them notoriously quickly. So, you will also need a good set of rechargeable batteries and a recharger, or a Wii charge station - add $25.

Finally, you will probably also want some extra memory (the Wii comes with only 512MB internal memory) for some games. So, depending on your needs, you may want to budget more in the region of $400 to get the most from your Wii. So, shop around for some packages with all the components you need for the best deal.

Despite all these extra expenses, the Wii is still a great buy. Just be prepared to pay slightly more than the $250 price tag.

    LCD vs. CRT Monitor Comparison

    Author: C. Deveraux

Text and images (scans of census records) are crisper and sharper and the LCD monitor is easier on your eyes. Monitor's size: Traditional monitors are similar to a TV because both of them have the CRT (Cathode Ray Tube). That is the reason for its bigger size. It therefore occupies more space at the desk. It is also heavy.

However, LCD monitors have thin flat screen. Therefore occupies very less space and is lighter than the CRT monitor. LCD monitors can be fixed even on wall. Display Size: Even though the display size of a CRT monitor is calculated diagonally, the actual display size is smaller. For instance a 17" CRT monitor will actually have a display size of only 16" However, the display size of 17" LCD monitor will have 17" display size. Resolution: CRT monitors can show different resolutions. The resolution can be changed as required. LCD Monitors will have Native Resolution and therefore has a fixed resolution. The best resolution will be the native resolution for that LCD monitor. Viewing Direction: A CRT screen can be viewed from all directions. And from different distance. But LCD monitors cannot be viewed from all directions. LCD monitors can only be viewed straight. Therefore its viewing direction is limited. If viewed from other directions the colors will change and sometimes the vision will be unclear if not viewed straight. But in recent years the new LCD monitors have improved on this defect. Radiation Emission: The radiation emission in CRT monitors are higher. This will not be visible normally but it will affect eyesight and may cause head ache. Long term use of these monitors may even affect the eyes adversely. LCD monitors do not have this type of Radiation emission. Therefore LCD monitors are good for the eyes. Price: CRT monitors are priced very cheap. However they consume more power. LCD monitors are priced higher, but they consume less electricity. Though the electricity consumption is not very significant for personal use, it is very cost efficient in big organizations with many computers.

Text and images (scans of census records) are crisper and sharper and the LCD monitor is easier on your eyes. Dot pitch: This is the space between dots and is measured in fractions of a millimeter, e.g., .25mm. The smaller the number the better because the dots are tighter. Many manufacturers don%u2019t even list the dot pitch anymore and you probably won%u2019t be able to tell the difference between a .22 and .27 pitch anyway. So, if you like the monitor then don%u2019t worry about the dot pitch. Passive-matrix vs. active-matrix: Do not buy a passive-matrix monitor. I seriously doubt you%u2019ll even see one for sale, but%u2026just in case. Having said that, there are some new passive-matrix technologies that are worth buying. If the monitor isn't TFT (a type of active-matrix), look for CSTN or DSTN (the latest passive technologies). Brightness: How bright is the picture, expressed as cd/m (I have no idea what the units mean). Look for a brightness level of 200 cd/m or greater. Again, if the monitor specs don%u2019t list this value (not all do) be sure you can get your money back. If the lighting in your office (kitchen table) is subdued the brightness factor won%u2019t be as important as if you have a lot of sunlight streaming in. Don%u2019t pay extra for extra brightness unless you%u2019re worried about bright sunlight. Overall, the contrast ratio will have a bigger impact on picture quality. 3. How Do I Download and Transfer PSP Games From PC Onto My PSP

How Do I Download and Transfer PSP Games From PC Onto My PSP

    Author: Dion Laros

First Of All: What Do You Need?

    - PSP

    - COMPUTER (PC/MAC/LINUX)

    - Memory Stick Duo Or Memory Stick Pro Duo

    - USB Cable With A Mini-B Connector On One End

STEP 1: CONNECT YOUR PSP TO PC

The PSP can function as a USB Memory Stick Duo reader. Using this functionality, you can copy pictures, audio, and other content to and from your Memory Stick Duo. To access the Memory Stick Duo in your PSP from your PC, you'll need a USB cable that has a "Mini-B" connector (common for digital cameras) and a "Standard-A" connector (common for printers, etc). Plug the Mini-B side into the top of your PSP and the Standard-A side into your PC. From the PSP software, navigate to the top of the settings list and select "USB Connection." Your PC (Windows/Mac/Linux) should detect a new "Removable Disk Drive" that you can then access.

STEP 2: FORMAT YOUR MEMORY STICK

In order to be able to use your new memory stick on your PSP, you'll have to format it. When you format your memory stick, the formatting will create a set of new folders on your PSP: GAME, MUSIC, PHOTO, and SAVEDATA.

STEP 3: EXTRACT THE SAVED GAME

This process will greatly depend on which software you use to extract zip files. WinRAR for instance offers the "extract here" option, which will simply extract the contents of a zip file to it's current directory.

STEP 4: TRANSFER SAVE GAME TO "SAVEDATA" FOLDER

Just copy the folder you have just extracted, and paste it into the PSP's "SAVEDATA" folder. But, BEWARE!, to any folder overwrite warnings! Because the PSP save game folders use the same names for the same games, copying folders into these locations could lead to lost data. For this reason, we recommend that you backup your old save games before overwriting them. For Example, I would simply rename a folder like "ULPS0004" to "ULPS0004_backup."

    STEP 5: EXIT USB MODE

Because your PSP has been in USB Mode throughout this process, just push X to exit. Then you can safely disconnect your PSP from your PC.

STEP 6: VERIFY TRANSFER OF SAVE DATA

To verify the integrity of the SAVE GAME data you have just transferred, use the PSP's built-in Save Data Utility. Select it from the "Game" menu.

    That's it, simple and smooth.

"Where Can I Download PSP Games?"

You can download free PSP games, movies, TV shows, wallpapers and software for your handheld entertainment device. Although these PSP game download sites can often be found rather easily, not all of them are that good or lack the content you were searching for in the first place. Once you are on your way searching for PSP games to download, you will quickly see there are many PSP game download websites out there that will let you download free PSP games.

Many of these sites let you download these games at ultra low speeds and make your computer being filled to the brim with spy- and ad ware. But luckily I've found sites, which don't have these problems. These sites will let you download at ultra fast speeds without the risk of getting your computer filled with spy- and ad ware.

    Author: Addie Jabat

Can't stand working on your computer because of some freezes, hardware malfunctions, slow windows start ups, computer error messages, system32 error messages, indications of a possible system crash and other related problems it has been showing? If so, then maybe it's now time for you to consider a registry cleaner. Why? Well, it's because everything that you are experiencing has nothing to do with anything else but with your registry alone.

Nevertheless, there are some errors and corrupt files in your Windows registry that compromise the integrity and performance of your computer. Be aware that failure to fix these errors and corrupt files will give unlikely results and may later turn your computer useless by all means. Thus, to save yourself from headache of getting a new computer, get a registry cleaner now!

    Which One?

There are many registry cleaners now made available on the market. Therefore, the big question for you now will be - which one will be perfect for your needs?

Well, below we have a brief yet in-depth review of the top three registry cleaners on the market. This may help you in deciding which registry cleaner to get.

    #1: RegDefense

All the registry cleaners have the potential to clean your registry but only a few can do the work completely and efficiently.

RegDefense is the #1 registry cleaner as it is very capable of cleaning your registry files completely and efficiently without causing any log. It can repair DLL's and general system slowdowns. And after all the clean ups and repairs, RegDefense can turn your computer into something like a brand new system free from any errors, hang-ups and threats of crashes. With RegDefense, your computer will function at its highest level.

RegDefense' main features and benefits include error reporting, deep scan, scan log, backup/restore, start up manager, registry optimize, registry compactor, registry defrag, and 64 bit compatible. You can't enjoy some of these features and benefits from other registry cleaners.

    #2: RegFix

RegFix is one of the popular registry cleaners of today. It can do all the basic cleaning and repairing of registry errors. It can also manage start-up programs, manage browser helper objects, backup windows registry for full protection and add or remove programs. However, according to some individuals who have already tried it, its scanning time is twice the time of other registry cleaners and some of its registry repair utilities are a bit over-zealous in terms of reporting of errors. It also can impose higher risk of getting rid of significant files.

RegFix can be a practical purchase considering the basic cleaning and repairing function it can give. However, can be just second best.

    #3: RegEasy

RegEasy like any other registry cleaners will scan your PC, safely clean the errors and invalid entries that cause system slow, freezing and crashing, and repair registry problems to improve system's performance.

However, during scan, some logs can be experienced by the user. Also, registry defrag is not possible with RegEasy. Not to mention that it doesn't extend 64 bit compatibility feature as well, so its use can be limited.

Computer hardware is not frequently changed and so is stored in hardware devices such as read only memory (ROM) where it is not readily changed.

Most computer hardware is embedded and so is not visible to normal users. Below are the different types of hardware's found in a computer.

Ø Motherboard: It is the central or primary circuit board making up a complex electronic system such as a computer. A motherboard is also known as a main board, logic board or system board.

Ø Central processing Unit: A CPU is the main component of a digital computer that interprets instructions and process data in computer programs.

Ø Random Access Memory: A RAM allows the stored data to be accessed in any order. RAM is considered as the main memory of the computer where the working area is used for displaying and manipulating data.

Ø Basic Input Output System: BIOS prepares the software programs to load, execute and control the computer.

Ø Power Supply: Power Supply supplies electrical energy to an output load or group of loads.

Ø Video Display Controller: It converts the logical representation of visual information into a signal that can be used as input for a display medium.
